I haven't talked about web design much on this blog - if at all. The focus has been all about getting those children's illustrations in front of publishers, but while I'm sending out promo postcards I've got to keep paying the bills. That's where web design comes in. (I have been designing and illustrating for 30+ years and designing websites for 15+.) As far as I'm concerned web design is an art form. I love it, from designing the sites to writing the code. You can see some of my designs and play with my website at KristenSchwartz.com. The design of my site is responsive, that is, it responds to the size of the browser window you're viewing on. It's a big plus for people looking at my site on different devices, but what I really like is the fact that my site morphs into different compositions as the browser window changes size.
